Oceanside Distillers’ journey began in 2016, with an ambitious school project aimed at producing alcohol for use as an alternative fuel. However, this project was short-lived due to the concerns of school authorities. Inspired by this initial idea, I delved deeper into the world of distillation and embarked on the path to establishing a licensed distillery. The process involved securing a Distilled Spirits Permit, finding the perfect location, and equipping it with the necessary technology. After a rigorous year and a half of navigating through federal and state regulations, Oceanside Distillers was officially ready for production.
