Oceanside Distillers’ journey began in 2016, with an ambitious school project aimed at producing alcohol for use as an alternative fuel. However, this project was short-lived due to the concerns of school authorities. Inspired by this initial idea, I delved deeper into the world of distillation and embarked on the path to establishing a licensed distillery. The process involved securing a Distilled Spirits Permit, finding the perfect location, and equipping it with the necessary technology. After a rigorous year and a half of navigating through federal and state regulations, Oceanside Distillers was officially ready for production.
Our distillery proudly crafted its first barrel of Steinmetz Sipping Bourbon in 2018, marking the beginning of a legacy of excellence in spirits. Since then, Oceanside Distillers has become a name synonymous with quality and craftsmanship in the spirits industry. We’ve been honored with multiple prestigious awards, including double gold medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for our exceptional Sipping Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, and Rum, and a silver for our meticulously crafted Gin. These accolades are a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in the art of distilling.
